This is a great game, thoughtful, atmospheric and strangely beautiful. Its like moebius made an iphone game. If you have ever played FTL its a bit like that but less stressful and more relaxing. Its a rogue like game with permadeath, so your choices all count! Great!

This latest update has made it so that I cant start a new game on my iPhone 5 w/ iOS 7.1.2 - and while I was finishing up my previous game that I was in the middle of when the update hit, the game just kept crashing (which is what made me want to try a new game - I havent been able to play since). I hope that the developers can fix whatever they messed up with this latest update - seems like quite a few people are having quite a few issues... **update** even after this latest update, the game still crashes on my 5 w/7.1.2. Buyer Beware.

Worth every cent

This game has potential, but the coin toss aspect of the game simply ruins the fun. The exploration part is enjoyable, but the random and unforgiving mechanics within the game make for a maddening experience. There should at the very least be a save option available. I want to have fun, not punish myself. I updated my rating of this game to one star. Out There is just stupidly hard.

I love this game. I loved the original version and I love the updates to graphics, music, gameplay, etc. However the update is plagued with bugs. The worst is that when I tried to deploy Death Seed, the game crashes. Argh. For a game that rarely affords you a chance to perform an action like this, making it all this way and getting stuck because of a bug is incredibly frustrating. Please fix!

The new easy mode makes the game much more enjoyable. However, if I try to use death seed on a star the game crashes. So much for the blue ending.

Out There is a really neat game! Its a rouge-like space exploration game similar to FTL (Faster Than Light). In this game, however you survive by skillfully managing resources and making calculated risks, instead of ship combat like in FTL. It has a unique story telling narrative in the form of space logs written by your character. These logs coupled with excellent sound design and beautiful artwork make for a captivating and atmospheric game. Its fun, pretty, challenging, engaging and has much replay ability. Unfortunately this port from the PC version is not perfect and has occasional game ending bugs. Sometimes it just freezes up when navigating menus. Its very annoying when it happens but luckily does not occur often. This is why I have given the game 4/5 stars. If the bugs were worked out it would easily be a perfect 5!

You know youve made something incredible when you get lost in it for hours having nothing but fun. Out there is my favorite spaceship/survival game.

This game is actually worth 5 stars easy, however the crashes are a huge let down. So far Ive noticed that it crashes whenever I have the Castle ship (the one with the most cargo space) it crashes sporadically, and shortly after I use the Death Seed. Now until I get to those points in the game it usually handles fine, HOWEVER it has crashed before midway in the journey (still have the first ship, or just upgraded to a slightly better one). I am experiencing these problems while on Easy and with Cemetery mode on. So this review is mostly for the developers who can hopefully find/fix these bugs. I still encourage you to buy this, or at the very least put this on your wish list and check in on it until its updated.

Honestly think that the game is great. Its a great space survival game that I can play on the go. There arent many like it and its pretty fun.

Man, I love this game. IMO, it is one of the best mobile game ever, BUT this version is unplayable!!! It crashes every time!!! I am so frustated because I have reached the end of the Red Mission, I use the Death Seed in the Green System to do the final action, then when I press the button to use the Wormhole Generator the game crashes..... I have no words to describe my frustation...... Please fix this ASAP! PS: I am playing in an IPad Air 2 with the newest version of the IOS

The game is great, and requires a lot of strategy mixed with random luck, as I would imagine being lost in space would actually be like. However, it is ironic that a game about space, where the dreadful possibility of crashing and dying perpetually looms over the games character, bears also the same dread over you as you play. Getting 50+ star systems into the game, armed to win with all the right equipment, is not easy. It is harder yet to play the game at all once you discover that the dreadful crash and death of the app coincides with the action of deploying the game winning move. According to the apps message board on facebook, the app has submitted an update to Apples app store for review. My advice to you, if you want to beat the game, do not download until the bug is resolved.
