You are an astronaut awaking from cryonics not in the solar system, but... out there... in a far and unknown place of the galaxy. In Out There, you will have to survive, tinkering your ship with what you can gather drifting in the void, and spot garden planets to refill your oxygen supply.

Space is an hostile place ; dangerous and mysterious adventures will mark each step of your travel. You will not only meet intelligent species that won’t care about you, but also deal with ancient powers linked to your destiny and the fate of mankind itself.

Survival and understanding of what is really at stake in the galaxy is the core of what Out There has to offer.

Pros and cons of Out There: Ω Edition app for iPhone and iPad

Out There: Ω Edition app good for

There is a simple but deep strategic dimension to this game. Luck is a big factor too. I keep coming back to it every now and then... But the yellow end is wayyyy too far; i onLy got to the green end once or twice in in over a hundred tries ! Thumbs up.
This game is a procedural pocket master. A very great experience with the balance of mining resources and ship management, with technology and elements acquired through mining, and discovery. The story is very well done, a great text adventure with comic book style art and really great fluidity to the gameplay.
Im always skeptical when buying obscure games on the App Store. Well, this one was definitely worth it. I couldnt put it down until I realized it was 7am. Awesome roguelike that makes you want to keep trying over and over.
10/10 Beautiful scenery Excellent writing EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE
One great game only true gamers would like once you die its over and you start it all over very nicely done thanks.
Everything that an adventure/strategy game should aspire to be.

Some bad moments

Seems to be a decent game, but unplayable in iPad1 iOS 5.1.1 Can it be fixed? Update please!!
after playing the omega version of this game, this feels like the alpha test version... Please add the "drill again"/"probe again" button and let the drill/probe amount be set to the last used amount, not 5 everytime. there is soo much pointless clicking, it really killed the mood. It badly needs a "take all" button too, Ill tell you what this whole game is about: -click drill or probe button -click minus button until 1 -click finish -repeat that is 90% of the game, i wish i was kidding because i love this game. honestly just add the omega interface to the mobile version will get you a lot more 5/5 ratings.
No thinking, skill or tactics required; just a random generator. Captivating soundtrack.
On the mission where you plant the death seed it just crashes suddenly and all the work was for nothing :(
The latest update introduced a bug that has ruined the game for me. Im at a point where Im the farthest Ive ever gotten and I can keep going except that if I try to build any technologies all I get is the Technology header and no list. The list is gone and I cant build anything! Thats game over. Incredibly frustrating having invested so much time into the game.I visited the developers site and emailed Michael Peiffert on April 2. Its now April 29. No response. Think twice about downloading.
Ive had this game since last year, and have played many, many hours. The March 23rd update included a bug, which makes a main feature of the game unusable after all technologies are learned. I have also FBd the creators. No response. Dont waste your time until an update is brought about.
